Meet Your Instructor

Laurence "Lo" Lehman, P.E.

Mr. Lehman is a private consultant from Richmond, Virginia who specializes in electric power system design. He is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Electrical Engineering, and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the States of Virginia and Florida. His past work history includes a total of 20 years experience as a Design and Standards Engineer with Virginia Power and the Florida Power and Light Company, as well as a Sales Engineer with the McGraw-Edison Company.


Mr. Lehman is a Senior Member with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), a charter member of the Mid Atlantic Power Quality Society, and has served with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), and the American National Standards Insititute (ANSI).


Mr. Lehman is a teacher, a lecturer, and makes numerous public speaking appearances. His teaching style is dynamic and articulate, and focuses on using logical, down-to-earth examples to simplify and precisely explain complex ideas.
